Day 1 – Monday 06th April 2026: Waves, Weston & Welcome*

Your holiday begins with a relaxing coach journey to the charming seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare. Sit back and enjoy the passing scenery as we travel in comfort, breaking up the journey with convenient stops along the way. There’s time to stretch your legs, enjoy a refreshing drink, and get to know your fellow travellers before we continue towards the coast. By late afternoon we arrive at our welcoming hotel, ready to settle in and look forward to the wonderful days ahead by the sea.

Day 2 – Tuesday 07th April 2026: Best of Bristol in a Day

Enjoy a full day at leisure in the vibrant city of Bristol, a destination that beautifully blends history with modern culture. Stroll along the lively Harbourside, lined with cafés, galleries, and museums, or step aboard Brunel’s masterpiece, the SS Great Britain, to uncover fascinating maritime history. Admire breathtaking views from the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, wander through elegant Clifton Village with its boutique shops, or lose yourself in the colourful world of Banksy and Bristol’s Street art. With free museums like M Shed and the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, plus With plenty of spots to relax with a drink overlooking the water, Bristol offers the perfect mix of discovery and relaxation for an unforgettable day out.

Day 3 – Wednesday 08th April 2026: Seaside Relaxation & Somerset’s Natural Wonder

Begin your day with a leisurely morning in Weston-Super-Mare, where you can take time to enjoy the classic seaside atmosphere. Stroll along the promenade and admire the views across the Bristol Channel or visit the town’s famous Grand Pier with its lively mix of arcades and attractions. or perhaps explore the fascinating Helicopter Museum or free-to-enter Weston Museum. For those who prefer a gentler pace, a walk to the peaceful Marine Lake or browsing the local shops and cafés offers the perfect way to relax.

In the afternoon, we journey into the heart of Somerset to the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, England’s largest gorge and one of the country’s most dramatic natural landmarks. Journey up through the awe-inspiring cliffs before venturing underground to explore the spellbinding show caves, where stunning stalactites and rich history await. Step back in time at the Museum of Prehistory, then be swept into the story of the gorge at the immersive Beyond the View cinema experience. For the adventurous, climb the famous Jacob’s Ladder and take in panoramic views from the Lookout Tower, a perfect finale to a day filled with wonder, discovery, and unforgettable scenery.

Day 4 – Thursday 09th April 2026: Cider, Culture & Charm

Today we enjoy a real taste of Somerset as we head to Thatcher’s Cider, a family-run company crafting award-winning cider for over a century. Here you can explore the orchards, discover the fascinating cider-making process, and of course sample some of their delicious creations. The shop is the perfect place to pick up a bottle or two to take home.

In the afternoon, we continue to the beautiful city of Bath, famed for its elegant Georgian architecture and Roman heritage. You’ll have free time to stroll at your own pace-perhaps visit the magnificent Bath Abbey, take a step back in time at the Roman Baths, or browse the stylish boutiques and independent shops dotted around the cobbled streets. Or simply relax with a coffee and soak up the atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage city. We return to the hotel in the late afternoon, full of memories from a day of contrasts, countryside charm and city splendour.

Day 5: Friday 10th April 2026: Wells & Farewells*

On our final day we bid farewell to Weston-Super-Mare, but not before enjoying some free time in the delightful city of Wells. Known as England’s smallest city, Wells is brimming with character and charm. Admire the magnificent Wells Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture with its famous scissor arches, or wander through the atmospheric Bishops Palace and Gardens, complete with a moat and tranquil grounds. The historic Market Place, surrounded by medieval buildings, is perfect for browsing independent shops, enjoying a coffee, or simply soaking up the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful city. Afterwards, we re-join the coach and begin our journey home, with further comfort stops along the way to ensure a relaxed and pleasant return.
