Day 1 – Monday 16th March 2026: All Aboard to Blackpool*
Sit back, relax, and let your holiday begin as you are collected from home and journey in comfort to the ever-popular resort of Blackpool. On arrival, we check in to our hotel where a warm welcome awaits. This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner followed by entertainment to start your holiday in style. Alternatively, if you’d like to make the most of your first few hours, take the chance to step out and discover some of Blackpool’s famous attractions. Whether you prefer a relaxed start or to dive straight into the seaside atmosphere, your holiday is off to the perfect beginning.
Day 2 – Tuesday 17th March 2026: Relax, Cruise & Savour: A Classic British Treat
Enjoy a relaxing morning at leisure in Blackpool today. Take a stroll along the famous Golden Mile, admire the views from the Central Pier, or enjoy a breath of fresh sea air on a walk along the wide sandy beaches. Whether you choose to soak up the traditional seaside atmosphere or simply relax with a coffee overlooking the promenade, Blackpool offers something for everyone.
At midday, join us for an optional 1 hour 45-minute canal cruise from the charming Barton Grange mooring, cruising the peaceful waters of the Lancaster Canal. Sit back and take in the tranquil Lancashire countryside from the comfort of a traditional canal boat. Enroute, we'll make a stop to enjoy a classic fish and chip lunch at a welcoming Canalside spot - the perfect treat in a relaxed setting.
On the return journey, we’ll stop in the delightful town of Garstang, often hailed as one of Lancashire’s hidden gems. Stroll along its charming high street lined with independent shops, traditional bakeries, and inviting cafés. Take a walk by the River Wyre or enjoy the peaceful green spaces. With its welcoming atmosphere and historic character, Garstang is the perfect place to relax and soak up the local charm.
Day 3 – Wednesday 18th March 2026: Discover Lancaster: A City Steeped in Story
Step into the storybook charm of Lancaster, a compact city packed with rich history, vibrant culture, and scenic riverside views. Maybe begin today with a trip to the imposing Lancaster Castle, a working courthouse and former prison with fascinating guided tours and centuries of stories within its ancient walls. Wander through the city’s cobbled streets, browse quirky independent shops, or relax in a café in the shadow of the Ashton Memorial – a striking landmark set within the beautiful Williamson Park, offering panoramic views over the city and Morecambe Bay. Along the River Lune, enjoy a peaceful stroll or watch boats gently pass by, soaking in the laid-back atmosphere.
Day 4 – Thursday 19th March 2026: Valleys & Vintage: Ribble Tour & Oswaldtwistle Treasures
Today we journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Ribble Valley, rich in history, charm, and spectacular views. Our guided tour begins in Ribchester, once one of Roman Britain’s largest ports and forts, before we travel to Longridge, nestled in the fells of Bowland, and onward to Chipping, a picture-perfect medieval village known as the gateway to one of Queen Elizabeth II’s former residences. From the heights of Jeffrey Hill, take in a magnificent 360° panoramic view of the valley, then descend past Stonyhurst, the magnificent Tudor Hall of the Shireburn family. - now a prestigious Jesuit college with famous links to Arthur Conan Doyle and J.R.R. Tolkien. We continue through Great Mitton, home to the ancient Mitton Church, before reaching our final morning stop at Whalley, England’s largest village. In the afternoon, enjoy a more leisurely pace with time at Oswaldtwistle Mills, a unique shopping, dining, and heritage experience where you can browse independent boutiques, discover Lancashire crafts, and perhaps treat yourself to a little something special before returning.
Day 5 – Friday 20th March 2026: Homeward Bound with Memories*
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Blackpool and begin our journey home. Relax on board as we make convenient stops along the way to stretch your legs and enjoy a refreshment break. With happy memories of scenic tours, seaside leisure, and evenings of entertainment, we return home refreshed and with new friendships and experiences to treasure.
