Day 1 – Monday 18th May 2026: A Wight Welcome…. *

Your Isle of Wight adventure begins with a scenic drive down to the coast, as the mainland blurs into gentle English countryside. Soon, you’ll arrive at the bustling ferry terminal in Portsmouth where the anticipation builds. As your ferry departs, take in the iconic Solent, with sailboats dancing on the shimmering water and the Isle’s silhouette growing larger by the minute. The comfortable crossing sets the tone, from mainland hustle to island tranquillity in just under an hour.

Disembarking into fresh sea air on the island, enjoy a relaxed, winding drive along the coast to the elegant Bembridge Coast Hotel. Nestled right on the shoreline, the hotel welcomes you with the scent of sea breeze and the promise of serene escape. After a warm greeting, head to your room to unpack, unwind, and absorb your first glimpses of coastal beauty. In the early evening, savour your first full meal of the getaway at the hotel’s stylish Four Tides Restaurant. Feast on modern British cuisine - perhaps locally caught seafood or richly flavoured seasonal fare - while the sun dips into the Solent beyond floor-to-ceiling windows. As twilight deepens and the waves murmur just below the cliffs, raise a glass to your first magical evening on the Isle of Wight.

Day 2 – Tuesday 19th May 2026: Gardens & Gentle Companions

After a hearty breakfast with sweeping sea views, day two begins with a journey to the south coast and the stunning Ventnor Botanic Gardens. Nestled in a sheltered microclimate, these award-winning gardens are home to a vibrant collection of rare and exotic plants from around the world. Stroll through Mediterranean terraces, tropical borders, and peaceful woodland walks, soaking up the sights and scents of nature in full bloom. After exploring the stunning collection of exotic plants and vibrant landscapes, you’ll have the perfect chance to relax and recharge in the welcoming on-site café. With its freshly prepared dishes, locally sourced ingredients, and a tempting selection of cakes and refreshments, it’s the ideal spot to sit back, enjoy the views, and make the most of your visit.

In the afternoon, the pace softens with a heart-warming visit to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. Set in beautiful countryside, this peaceful haven is home to over 100 rescued donkeys and ponies, all lovingly cared for by dedicated staff. Spend time meeting these gentle, curious animals, learning their stories, and enjoying the calm of this special place. It’s a day that blends natural beauty with meaningful moments - leaving you refreshed, uplifted, and ready for another relaxing evening back at the hotel.

Day 3 – Wednesday 20th May 2026: Cruising the Needles, Conquering the Castle

Start your day with a refreshing sea breeze on a leisurely cruise to the iconic Needles, one of the Isle of Wight’s most photographed landmarks. Sail past towering chalk stacks and dramatic cliffs as you take in panoramic views of Alum Bay and the colourful sands below - an unforgettable way to experience the island’s rugged beauty from the water.

After the cruise, enjoy a relaxing stop in the charming harbour town of Yarmouth, where quaint cafes and cosy pubs offer the perfect setting for a light lunch or a quick bite. Soak in the seaside atmosphere before continuing your journey inland.

In the afternoon, step back in time with a visit to Carisbrooke Castle, a storied fortress steeped in royal history. Explore ancient battlements, walk the castle walls, and learn of its famous prisoner- King Charles I. With peaceful gardens, a working donkey wheel, and sweeping views across the countryside, this historic gem rounds off a day rich in discovery, beauty, and timeless charm.
