Day 1 – Friday 09th January 2026- A Warm Highland Welcome*

Your adventure begins with a beautifully scenic journey through the heart of Scotland’s rolling hills, shimmering lochs, and charming villages setting the tone for a truly relaxing escape. Upon arrival in the picturesque village of Drymen, you’ll check in to your comfortable, well-appointed accommodation where a warm Highland welcome awaits. After settling in, enjoy a delicious evening meal, freshly prepared to give you a true taste of Scotland. From 7:30pm to 10:30pm each evening, take full advantage of the complimentary bar - perfect for unwinding with your favourite drinks in good company. The evening comes alive with live entertainment, offering music, laughter, and a great atmosphere to kick off your 4-day getaway in style.

Day 2 – Saturday 10th January 2026 - A Wee City Break: Glasgow in a Day

After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we set off for a full-day excursion to the vibrant city of Glasgow. The scenic drive offers glimpses of the countryside gradually giving way to the bustling energy of Scotland’s largest city. Once there, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Glasgow’s rich blend of culture, history, and modern charm. Stroll down Buchanan Street for some top-class shopping, visit the stunning Glasgow Cathedral, or delve into the city’s artistic side at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The Riverside Museum and nearby Tall Ship offer a fascinating look at Glasgow’s maritime heritage. Whether you're discovering hidden gems in the West End, enjoying a coffee in one of the city’s many stylish cafés, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there's something for everyone. As the day winds down, we return to Drymen with great memories and maybe a few souvenirs, ready for another relaxing evening at the hotel.

Day 3 – Sunday 11th January 2026 - Battles & Bannockburn: Stirling’s Story Unfolds

Today, we head off on a captivating trip to one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks - Stirling Castle. The journey takes us through picturesque landscapes, with rolling hills and sweeping views that make the drive a pleasure in itself. Once at the castle, you’ll have time to explore its grand halls, ancient towers, and beautiful courtyards at your own pace. Perched high on Castle Hill, Stirling Castle offers breathtaking views, and a rich history filled with royal intrigue, famous battles, and dramatic tales of Scotland’s past. Visit the beautifully restored Great Hall, wander through the Royal Palace, and step inside the Chapel Royal.

There's also a chance to explore the interactive exhibitions and learn about figures like Mary, Queen of Scots and Robert the Bruce. With plenty of photo opportunities and a well-stocked gift shop and café, it’s a day to remember. We return to Drymen in the late afternoon, just in time to relax before another enjoyable evening of food, drinks, and entertainment back at the hotel.

Day 4 – Monday 12th January 2026 - A Farewell & A Hot Toddy*

As our relaxing Scottish getaway comes to an end, we enjoy a final breakfast before checking out. The warmth and charm of Drymen will surely leave a lasting impression, and to make our departure just that little bit more special, a traditional farewell hot toddy is served - raising a toast to new memories and friendships made.

With spirits high and bags packed, we begin the scenic journey home, taking one last look at the stunning landscapes that have surrounded us over the past few days. Whether you're leaving with souvenirs, stories, or simply a sense of calm, this 4-day break to Drymen offers a perfect mix of exploration, entertainment, and Highland hospitality.

*As part of this scenic retreat, guests will be treated to a traditional Burns Night meal - a festive celebration of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. This special evening includes the famous haggis ceremony, poetry readings, traditional music, and a hearty Scottish feast. The exact night of the Burns Night dinner will be confirmed closer to the time, but it promises to be an unforgettable highlight of your stay, full of culture, flavour, and Highland hospitality.
